Dogs’ Breakfast at The Ponds
27th October 2015

All 100 tickets made available via Eventbrite.com.au were booked and it was great to see many dogs and their owners come out to The Plaza on this Sunday morning. Organised in partnership with Blacktown City Council as a part of the We Love The Ponds Project, the aim of the event was to encourage responsible dog ownership. Dog owners enjoyed a free BBQ breakfast and coffee (van sponsored by Aussie Pooch Mobile) and there was breakfast for the dogs also. Environmental officers from Council had information on hand. 29 people singed the Scoop the Poop Pledge. PickItUp bags were available for residents to take. Two young boys decided to start using them on the day and their photo on Facebook resulted in an influx of residents collecting their own bags from the library.
